| 1 cup sugar
3 tbsps water
4 oz butter (1 stick)
¾ cup brown sugar
pinch of sea salt
1 tsp vanilla or 1/2 a vanilla bean
¼ tsp baking soda
½ cup milk or dark chocolate pieces.
1) In a medium saucepot, bring the sugar, water, brown sugar, butter and salt to 295 degrees F. Stir a few times with a heatproof spatula.
2) Remove from stove and immediately add in the baking soda and vanilla all at once, stirring until smooth.
3) Pour into parchment-paper lined pan and spread to desired thickness. Wait 5 minutes.
4) Spread the chocolate with the offset spatula. Sprinkle with almonds or desired toppings..enjoy the creativity of it!
